A primary school in Durham will allow pupils to arrive late on Monday morning so that they can watch the Euro 2024 final.

Sunday's final against Spain will kick off at 8pm, prompting some schools to take the decision to push back their starting time for pupils.

We will update this list as we get more details from other schools.

Bowburn Primary School in Durham.

A message sent to parents by head teacher Mrs Natalie Maughan said: "Any children who stay up to watch the football match and wish to come to school a little later will be allowed. Being in the final is exceptional and we all deserve the chance to support our country if we wish.

"Therefore, children can arrive at school, anytime BEFORE 10.30am on Monday and not be penalised. We will take school dinner orders on Friday from all children in preparation for any latecomers.

"For any children not arriving late, breakfast club and school will be open as normal.
