One person has been taken to hospital following a crash on a Darlington road last night.
North East Ambulance Service confirmed they were called to a collision on Whinfield Road shortly before 8:50am.
They confirmed they deployed a double-crewed ambulance and a clinical team leader.
They added one person was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital.
A NEAS spokesperson said: “We were called shortly before 8.50 last night (Wednesday 10 July) to a road traffic incident on Whinfield Road.
“We dispatched a double-crewed ambulance and a clinical team leader.
“One patient was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital.”
A Durham Police spokesperson said: "We received reports of a one-vehicle collision on Whinfield Road, in Darlington, shortly after 8.30pm on Wednesday, July 10.
"The road was closed a short time while emergency services were in attendance and the car was recovered."

They also show a BMW which has sustained significant damage to the driver’s side.
The incident took place next to the Whinfield/Jesmond Road bus stop.
