A hairdresser and barbershop has opened in Darlington, with a local celebrity in attendance - and now there is a chance to look around the new premises. 

Last week, Ultimate Grooming opened its location on Stockton Road, in Darlington, supported by nearby businesses, and North East-born comedian Vaun Earl Norman, who attended to cut the ribbon into the shop. 

The new venture is Ultimate Grooming's second location, building on the success of their popular first branch in Yarm.

Owner Anthony Andrew explained: "We've been operating our Yarm shop for nearly 8 years, and the decision to open a second location nearby is an exciting step for us.

"This move not only allows our loyal customers to visit either shop but also enables us to welcome new clients from Darlington."

Not only well established in the North East, but Ultimate Grooming has also made a name for themselves on the national stage - taking home gongs at major industry awards.

Anthony said: "Over the years, we've been honoured with numerous awards, including being named Best Barbershop in the UK at the British Hair and Beauty Awards.

"Most recently, we attended Hairdresser Journal’s British Hairdressing Business Awards at Westminster Bridge, London. Although we didn't take home the prize this time, being a finalist is a significant achievement for us."
