Going on holiday is exciting and checking key information before you get to the airport is always a good idea, especially if it could interfere with travel times.

Jet2.com has issued some advice for all passengers flying from Manchester Airport during July and August.

The airline has issued a travel warning to all passengers who may be travelling to the airport via the M56.

It said that roadworks between junction 5 and junction 6 of the motorway will be in place until the end of August, if plans go ahead as expected.

Passengers are being urged to check information provided by National Highways for specific times and dates of upcoming closures of the motorway during this period.

The airline assures passengers that the diversions in place will be clearly signposted.

With all Jet2.com flights set to operate as scheduled, the airline urges passengers to give themselves enough time to get to Manchester Airport.

The work was planned to begin on Monday, June 10 and it’s expected to be finished by the end of August.
