HARD-WORKING North East students have marked the end of their exams with a star-studded celebration.
More than 80 graduating students from Longfield Academy, in Darlington, attended the glittering end-of-year prom at Blackwell Grange Hotel.
Head teacher Angela Sweeten said: “It’s been an amazing year. Longfield is a great school, and the children have done themselves and us proud.
“They have done phenomenally well turning up for every single exam, which is exactly what this prom is celebrating. As they prepare to take the next step, we wish them absolutely all the best in their futures.”
During the night, students Layla Young and Bailey Griffiths were elected Prom Queen and Prom King, and Megan McCrossan and Oliver Stephenson were named Prom Princess and Prom Prince.
Students had the chance to dance, hang out with friends, and say goodbye to their teachers, as well as enjoy entertainment, a meal, and a photobooth.
