Two people are in hospital after two separate 'medical incidents' over 24 hours.

Emergency services were called to Stockton and Loftus over the weekend following reports of medical episodes in the two locations.

The police, ambulance and air ambulance attended the Stockton and Loftus incidents - which saw two people separately taken to hospital via road ambulance

The Stockton, incident, which happened at 2.16pm on Saturday (July 6), saw a large 999 presence at an address, while the Loftus incident happened on Sunday (July 7) at about 1.30pm.

Regarding the Stockton incident, a spokesperson for the Great North Air Ambulance said: "On Saturday our critical care team was activated at 2.16pm to reports of a medical incident in Stockton.

"We had a doctor and paramedic arrive on scene at 2.25pm and they worked alongside the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) to assess and treat a patient.

"The patient was taken to hospital by the NEAS road crew, accompanied by our team."

Meanwhile, the air ambulance said of the Loftus incident: "On Sunday our critical care team was activated at 1.30pm to reports of a medical incident in Loftus.

"We had a doctor and paramedic respond on a critical care car and they arrived on scene at 1.58pm.

"Our team worked alongside the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) to assess and treat a patient.

"The patient was taken to hospital by the NEAS road crew, accompanied by our team."
