Voices heard, objects moved and the spirit of a former lady of the manor are just a few spooky goings on which have been reported at this County Durham castle - and now you have a chance to investigate.
Halloween may be a few months away yet but if you're someone who enjoys spooky sights and sounds and fancy getting involved in a ghost investigation then you might want to head to Lumley Castle.
The 'Most Haunted Experience' will be taking over the 14th century castle dripping with history on July 26 for a three hour long ghost investigation.
Also included in the £72 price tag is a three course meal at the castle before you explore the historic site which is said to be haunted by Lily Lumley - a tale whereby a wife of Ralph Lumley was thrown down a well for rejecting the catholic faith.
Legend says her ghost floats up from the walls as she walks the castle.
The event listing by the Most Haunted Experience says: "From voices heard when no one else is around to items being moved.
"Dark shadows are often seen roaming the corridors. Lumley Castle is said to be haunted by a 14th century lady of the manor, Lilly Lumley.
