A concert which would have seen Bananarama and other big stars take the stage at Darlington Arena has been cancelled according to the venue.
Darlington Arena have confirmed the 80s Calling! concert, which was set to take place on August 31, has been cancelled.
The show would have seen acts such as Holly Johnson, Bananarama, Level 42, Carol Decker of T'Pau, and The Christians, perform at the event.

Organisers had previously said Bananarama, who are made up of Sarah Dallin and Keren Woodward, were set to wow audiences at the arena before the show could no longer go ahead.
Speaking before the event was cancelled, Liz Doogan-Hobbs MBE, CEO of LHG Events said: "We're thrilled to announce yet another music offering to Darlington, and we are certain 80s Calling! is going to prove a huge hit with fans who not only remember the artists the first time around but also newer fans who embrace the retro revival, or just want to enjoy top tunes in a spectacular summer setting.”
