A new documentary featuring a County Durham team as they prepare for a new season hoping for a reversal of fortunes is now available to watch online for free.
The Road Back follows County Durham football team Willington AFC and their brand new management team as they look to find promotion from the Wearside league back to the Northern League after two successive relegations.
For three weeks, award winning film director, Dean Midas followed the new management team of Steve “Howey” Howe, Lee Genner, Danny Lee, Lewis Graham and Chris Storey as they prepared for the upcoming season.
The Road Back follows the new squad at their training sessions as they got ready for their opening pre-season friendly against local rivals Crook Town.
In 1950, Willington famously beat the mighty Bishop Auckland 4-0 in the FA Amateur Cup at Wembley in front of a crowd of 88,000.

Mr Midas said, "I loved every minute of making this documentary. I really hope the people of Willington get behind this and the team and help them get back to the Northern League"
