A woman has been seriously injured after "alighting" a car "driving erratically", with a man being arrested on suspicion of several offences including threats to kill.
Cleveland Police are appealing for witnesses after the woman was injured in an incident in Redcar on the evening of Sunday (June 30).
A police spokesperson said: "Officers would appeal to anyone who may have footage or may have witnessed a blue Ford Focus reportedly driving erratically in the West Dyke Road area of Redcar between 9pm and 10:15pm on Sunday, June 30.
"A 44-year-old woman suffered a broken leg when she alighted from the vehicle and was taken to hospital for treatment.
"A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, threats to kill and a number of driving offences and he remains on police bail whilst enquiries continue."
