A man has been found guilty of a sex offence for voyeurism by recording someone in a private act without their permission.
It took place in Darlington early in 2022 and led to the arrest of 61-year-old Alan Kirtley.
He was interviewed by officers before he was charged and brought before magistrates sitting in Newton Aycliffe.

Kirtley, of Church Parade, Sacriston, denied the offence but was convicted following a trial at the court on Monday.
He was cleared of a second charge of sending offensive messages using the communications network last June.
Kirtley has been granted unconditional bail but must return to court on July 25 for sentencing once reports are prepared.
