A North East cafe has unveiled a 'secret cinema' which is set to host events for its customers.
Claremont Teahouse, located on Eldon Place, Newcastle, is best-known for its homemade baked goods and wide assortment of international teas.
However, the business has now decided to diversify by creating a cinema space, intended to host a variety of private and corporate events, including parties and presentations.
The cafe's owner, Stuart Young, said the goal was to create "an intimate, personalised and unrivalled event experience".
The space is designed to comfortably seat up to 16 people and boasts a large cinema screen, perfect for showing films, home videos or presentations.

In addition to the existing food and drink options, the teahouse's catering team can offer an extensive selection of beverages, encompassing everything from their extensive array of teas to wines, beers and prosecco.
Event organisers are even allowed to work with the management team to customise menus suited to the occasion - choices ranging from canapés to classic cinema snacks like hot dogs, nachos and popcorn.
The hire costs begin at £200, and the venue is open to creating customised packages.
