A man has been arrested after an alleged street fight in Stockton.
Officers were called to reports of an altercation on Dovecot Street between The Storytellers pub and the ARC Stockton Arts Centre on Monday evening.
A cordon was erected at the scene, with blue and white police tape blocking off access to the blood-spattered pavement.
Cleveland Police confirmed that a man suffered arm and head injuries and was taken to hospital following the incident; another man, aged 40, has been arrested on suspicion of affray and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He remains in police custody.
A statement from the force said: "Officers were called to reports of an altercation on Dovecot Street, Stockton, at around 7.10pm on Monday (July 1).
