A teenager has been left seriously injured after a gang attack in Darlington.
The 16-year-old boy was assaulted by a group of teenagers during an incident on Thursday, June 18.
The group are believed to have been having a school leavers’ party in Skerningham Woods, on the outskirts of the town near Glebe Road.
Durham Constabulary has launched an investigation into the incident, with officers wishing to speak to anyone who witnessed the ordeal, or who may have recorded it.

A full release from the force said: "Can you help our officers who are investigating an assault on a teenager? The 16-year-old boy was seriously injured when he was assaulted by a group of other teenagers on the evening of Thursday, June 18.
"The group are believed to have been having a school leavers’ party in Skerningham Woods near Glebe Road. Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the assault, or who may have recorded the incident on their phone.
