A South Tyneside certification team is to be the first in the UK to run a scheme that drives up standards in domestic renewable energy installations.
Simply Certification has recently been awarded the accreditation which will allow them to offer the new Flexi-Orb certification scheme which will ensure that any installations of Solar PV (photovoltaics), Electrical Energy Storage Systems and Electric Vehicle Charge Points are completed to a good standard.
The scheme is also the first in the UK to certify the installation of EV charging points and also checks that products installed meet standards policies, ensuring that both installations and the products themselves are fit for purpose.
Alexandra Gates, Managing Director of Simply Certification said: “We are delighted to be a part of this new certification scheme and be the first certification body in the UK to gain UKAS accreditation. The introduction of this new scheme will allow existing installers to offer more options to the end user and allow new entrants to the market the option of choosing which scheme best suits their needs.
“Having a diverse portfolio of offerings is key to ensuring that the UK energy efficiency market is prepared for net zero. It’s an exciting time for the industry.”
