A dog with a rare form of spinal cord cancer is now living her best life after a transformative operation at a County Durham vets' clinic.
Three-year-old Misty had a pioneering operation at Wear Referrals in Bradbury after being diagnosed with the rare cancer, neoplasia, in her spinal cord.
Specialist neurologist at Wear Referrals, Alessia Colverde, said: "Misty had a rare cancer in her spinal cord, and the operation to remove it was very complicated and carried a high-risk factor.
"It was such a challenging surgery, it had the possibility that Misty could die or not be able to walk after the surgery."
