Durham City is set to be taken over by dogs this weekend - as Stray Aid hosts its annual dog show and market.
The charity, helping abandoned pets in the North East, will take to Durham's Racecourse on Sunday (June 30) from 10 am to 4pm, hosting a dog show with 14 classes for pooches and their families.
The show is set to be opened by the mayor of Durham, Cllr Liz Brown, and she will be judging the show's first class.
A series of traders will also be in attendance - ranging from doggy treats and wares to food and drink, photography, and charity stalls.
All money raised will go towards the day-to-day running costs of the Coxhoe-based charity, and entry to each of the classes will cost £2 each.

Apart from the dog display and classes, there will be children’s activities, an array of stalls, plus food, drink and more.
Proceeds will all go to Stray Aid, based in Cornforth Lane, Coxhoe, a charity which seeks to take care of abandoned and mistreated dogs and go on to find loving new owners.
