White-suited investigators have been spotted probing a property in Guisborough following an early-morning incident.
Police, fire, and ambulance crews were called to Warwick Road, off Dorset Road, on Wednesday morning in response to an unknown incident.
Officers wearing purple gloves and white suits were seen entering and exiting a property with large boxes - before armed cops were spotted seizing a range of guns from the home.
Eyewitnesses reported around 11am that there were two armed response vehicles, five police vehicles, a CID van, and two fire service vehicles at the scene.
The guns are believed to be a mixture of large shotguns and small handguns, although these details have not been confirmed by Cleveland Police.
The force has not yet provided further details of the incident but has issued a statement saying there is "no threat to the wider community."
Cleveland Fire Brigade also remains at the scene, with firefighters seen changing into the white suits before entering the home.
Some residents said they were first alerted to the police operation after waking up around 8am this morning - although the North East Ambulance Service confirmed it was first called at 5.44am.
A spokesperson said: "We were called to an incident at a private address in Guisborough this morning (26 June) at 5:44am. We dispatched one clinical team leader to the incident."
