A County Durham man has admitted possessing extreme pornographic images of a person performing a sex act on a chicken.
Christopher Henderson, of Poppy Lane, Shotton Colliery, also made indecent photographs of children, between March 2020 and August 2022.
He pleaded guilty to a total of four charges when he appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court on Tuesday (June 25).
Prosecutor Ms Kemp told the court Henderson had 20 category A moving pictures, 11 category B and more than 50 category C of children.
He also had five images portraying someone performing a sex act on a live animal, named on the indictment against him as a chicken.

Henderson was told the offences are too serious to be dealt with by the Magistrates court and he will appear before Durham Crown Court on July 23 where he will be sentenced.
District Judge Steven Hood told him: “You pleaded guilty to these four charges and in due course you will be given credit for that. This is a matter that is too serious to be dealt with in this court.”
A pre-sentence report will be prepared in the meantime.
