A popular independent cafe, which has served up sweet snacks and tasty brunches to Durham City for years, is set to relocate.
Treats Tea Room, which currently resides upstairs at 27-28 Silver St, Durham DH1 3RD, will be moving across the road on Silver Street.
Though there is no date for the big move yet set, the owners are thrilled about their "exciting plans", and hope to emulate their current venue's warm, family feel.
Established in 1984, Treats has been a staple of feel-good, home-cooked Durham food for years, making it popular with residents, the student community, and tourists in the historic city.
Treats Tea Room said: "After many wonderful years at our beloved location, we are thrilled to announce that Treats Tearoom will be moving to a new home!
"Don't worry, we're only going across the road.
"Whilst we don't have a date set for the big move yet, we wanted to keep everyone in the loop and share our exciting plans.
"Our current spot has been filled with countless cherished memories, and we are incredibly grateful to you for your support throughout the years. Your loyalty has made Treats Tea Room a special place, and we are eager to bring all the warmth and charm to our new location.
