Investigations are ongoing after a pupil was injured in an alleged attack at Hurworth School.
Emergency services were called to the Croft Road school on Friday afternoon after reports of a pupil being assaulted around 1.15pm.
The victim - a pupil - suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital by ambulance crews for further treatment. His condition is not currently known.
Durham Constabulary previously confirmed that a 13-year-old boy had been arrested in connection and was later interviewed and released on police bail.
Hurworth School is yet to comment on the incident.
A full statement from the force previously said: “Police were called at 1.15pm yesterday (June 21) following reports of an assault at a school in which a pupil had suffered a head injury.
“Officers attended and arrested a 13-year-old boy in connection with the incident. He was interviewed by officers and has been released on bail while further enquiries are carried out.

A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to an incident at Hurworth School, in Croft Road, at 12.50pm on Friday.
"We dispatched one ambulance crew, and transported one patient to hospital for further treatment."
