Three people have been arrested after a woman was seriously injured in a Hartlepool crash.
The incident - which took place on Masefield Road - saw a black Audi A4 and a white Vauxhall Vivaro van collide around 4.35pm on Sunday.
The 50-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Vauxhall Vivaro, was taken to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, with serious injuries.
Pictures circulating online show police cordoned off the road following the crash.
Cleveland Police confirmed that three men - aged 63, 32 and 30 - were arrested in connection with the incident and have been taken into police custody.
A statement from the force said: "Police are appealing for dashcam footage following a collision on Masefield Road in Hartlepool which left a 50-year-old woman with serious injuries.
"The collision between a black Audi A4 and a white Vauxhall Vivaro van occurred at 4:35pm on Sunday 23rd June.

"The 50-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Vauxhall Vivaro, was taken to James Cook University Hospital.
"Three men, aged 63, 32 and 30 have been arrested in connection with the incident and taken to police custody for questioning.
"Witnesses and anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage of the collision is asked to call 101, quoting reference SE24117990."
