Pictures show work progressing on the refurbishment of a County Durham leisure centre.
The pool area at Spennymoor Leisure Centre is currently closed for a major revamp and will remain closed throughout the summer holidays.
A new water play feature is being installed while upgrades are being carried out on the pool’s plant room.
A new café and soft play area are also included in the plans, along with the town’s library moving in.
Bosses currently expect works to finish in the autumn.
Pictures show the new water play area in place in the pool while the new kitchen has been installed for the café.
In a Facebook post, Thrive Leisure, which runs sites across the county, said: “When complete, the centre will provide enhanced leisure facilities as well as being the new home for the town’s library.
“We look forward to welcoming customers to see the exciting new facilities at the anticipated opening in the autumn, and we will share more detailed information about the opening arrangements a bit nearer the time.”
