As better weather arrives, people are looking for amazing places to eat and drink which have a brilliant view.
Especially in the social media age, people love to grab photos of their surroundings - and this list of five certainly won't disappoint.
The five best County Durham pubs with a stunning view:
The Boat Club & Tomahawk
Durham City
Situated inside a 500-year-old building, The Bat Club and Tomahawk is a perfect place to begin this list. In summer, it has outside tables and ones on the terrace areas of the restaurant and bar, this is one of the finest spots for a view in the whole of County Durham.
From the outside area, you can see panoramic views of the medieval Elvet Bridge and the traditional City of Durham.
And it seems like loads of people agree - with the venue having 4.5 stars out of five on TripAdvisor, with one person saying: "This place is great to sit, drink and eat. Situated at the side of the river in the centre of Durham. Would highly recommend it."
Cross Keys Inn
Front Street, Esh, Durham
While The Cross Keys provides a friendly service and a range of food for everyone, which serves a range of traditional homemade British classics, it is also graced with stunning views around the venue.
With the countryside around The Cross Keys, there is no better place in the sunshine.
Another pub has brilliant reviews on TripAdvisor, with 4.5 stars out of five, with one person saying: "Friendly staff despite been run busy -large selection on the menu-food was fabulous with as usual generous portions. Been several times before and never fails - Thank you."
Revolution Durham
Durham City
Meanwhile, over at Revolution, while it is a chain of venues, this one in Durham City is unforgettable for the view - which overlooks both Durham Castle and Cathedral.
Offering cocktails, other drinks and a range of food, this place has a rooftop terrace, which enhances the view.
And it seems like people online agree, with one satisfied visitor saying: "One of the best views in Durham City - an exceptional service from start to finish."
The 68 Café
Based on the edge of the Durham Dales on the A68, aptly named the 68 café, this place is surrounded by roads, but it also has amazing views of fields.
As well as the view, the café offers homemade meals and friendly service from staff.
This place is another that is well-reviewed online, with one impressed diner saying: "Stopped off during a long road trip home, as soon as we got into the dining area we were met by friendly staff directing us to our table. The food & service was fantastic, we will be back when passing again."
Riverview Kitchen
Durham City
The final place on the list is another Durham City restaurant - but when it's based right on the edge of the River Wear, who can blame us?
Diners can look directly out onto the river view in a protected inside bit with a spacious conservatory at the back of the venue.
This place has 4.5 stars out of five online, with one reviewer saying: "We were so happy with the views and the friendly welcome. The food arrived promptly and was beautiful. I had a vegan breakfast and my husband had a traditional breakfast and we also shared some Pancakes with blueberries and syrup."
