Summer is heating up and temperatures are soaring in the North East - and photographers have been taking some stunning photos of the region.

From Seaton Carew to Darlington, photographers have been soaking up the sun and taking some beautiful pictures of everything from birds to flowers.

We've used some photographs from the Northern Echo Camera Club taken this week to celebrate the start of the season.
