A North East-based artist has been revealed to be the mastermind behind this enchanting Taylor Swift mural at Wembley ahead of the singer's sold-out weekend of shows.

Drop everything now - and look at the artwork created by Sunderland-based and "honorary mackem" artist Frank Styles on the Spanish Steps outside Wembley Stadium in London.

This comes as the American superstar kicks off a three-day stint at the stadium as part of her 'Eras Tour' from June 21-23 and is set to play to hundreds of thousands of fans.

Frank, who is originally from Kent, received the call just three weeks ago and listened to Swift's catalogue of songs to craft the work which is filled with Easter eggs from her discography.

To help him with his task, Frank also enlisted Swifties on social media for ideas and then got to work - turning a once blank space into a gorgeous mural straight out of our wildest dreams.

Frank told the Echo: "We got a call about three weeks ago. It has been a very rushed job. They said they want Taylor Swift on the steps and the end result is in vinyl. With me being a spray paint artist I put a callout for a wall in the North East for me to do it on.

"Her face is on the main four steps and then the paintings around it are all Easter eggs from songs.

"It is amazing how many Swifties are out there - I started to learn about the different visuals for each album."

Around Taylor's face, which is in the centre, references to songs including Red, Our Song, 22, Look What You Made Me Do and Fearless are dotted around for visitors to spot.

Once the work was complete, a contractor was brought in to install it at the iconic stadium - making Frank a bit anxious as he wasn't sure how it would look in person.

But, after a trip in his very own getaway car down to London, he was blown away by how it turned out.

Frank added: "I had such an adrenaline rush driving down - it is amazing to see it in person. There are around 6,000 people living in that area.

"Families, people walking their dogs, have all been going past and taking photos of it. I’ve been chatting to some of them – they all love it."

Whilst he doesn't have tickets as of yet, Frank is hoping he can snatch tickets on Sunday and see her live.

He also told the Echo that in his research process, his favourite track is Ready For It...? from the 2017 album Reputation.
