Plans have been submitted to the council to convert a historic listed Wearside building that formerly housed a school into a private home.
Langham Tower on Mowbray Road in Sunderland could be a sprawling historic home for a set of new owners should plans be approved by the council.
Proposals were sent to Sunderland City Council in late April to transform the grade II listed building, built in 1889, and create at least five en suite bedrooms, several lounges, an office and a basement gym over three floors.
The tower was formerly one of the buildings used by Sunderland High School before its closure in 2016 and since then has sporadically been used as a bar and nightlife venue under the Langham Tower name.
However, it was recently listed on the property market with an asking price of £850,000.
Said listing now states the site has been sold.

Plans submitted to the council show updated floor maps of the building, detailing intentions to see former classrooms and storage altered to be large bedrooms and living spaces.
The application is still under consideration by the council.
