A woman has been taken to hospital after a crash on the A66 near Darlington.
Officers were called to the eastbound side of the major route - between the A1150 Great Burdon roundabout and Sadberge - following a single-car collision.
The road was fully blocked for around 30 minutes before becoming partially unblocked - with AA Traffic News reporting slow and queuing traffic at the time.
The North East Ambulance Service confirmed it sent a double-crewed ambulance to the scene around 9am before taking one woman to the Darlington Memorial Hospital.

Darlington Constabulary said: “We were called to reports of a one car collision on the A66 near Darlington shortly after 9am today (Tuesday). One woman was taken to hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries."
The ambulance service said: “We received a call shortly after 9am to a road traffic incident on the A66 at Sadberge. We dispatched a double crewed ambulance and one patient was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital.”
