A teenager has appeared in court in collection with an alleged hit-and-run incident outside a North East club.
Connor Jefferson appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court today (Monday, June 17) charged with attempted GBH, dangerous driving, driving without a licence, driving without insurance, and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
The 19-year-old was arrested in the early hours of Saturday (June 15) following an incident outside a Redcar club on Saturday.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said earlier: "In the early hours of yesterday (Saturday, June 15) officers from the Matrix Team identified and located a man who they wanted to speak to in connection with an alleged hit-and-run incident outside a club in Redcar.
"A vehicle was seized in Liverton Mines as part of ongoing enquiries."
Jefferson indicated a plea of guilty to dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
He did not enter a plea for attempted GBH, failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
Jefferson was remanded in custody to appear at Teesside Crown Court for a plea and directions hearing on July 16.
