A man has been pronounced dead after emergency services swarmed a Newton Aycliffe street on Sunday afternoon.
Several police vehicles swarmed Kirkstone Place just before 3pm on Sunday (June 16).
Pictures from the scene showed several police and ambulance vehicles lined up outside a home.
Police have now confirmed that a man was sadly been pronounced dead at the scene, but there are not suspected to be any suspicious circumstances.
A spokesperson for Durham Police said: "We were called to an address in Kirkstone Place, Newton Aycliffe, shortly before 3pm, on Sunday, June 16.
"Paramedics also attended but sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"It is not believed there are any suspicious circumstances, and a file will now be prepared for the coroner."
Paramedics attended the scene but were unable to save the man.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said : "We received a call for an incident yesterday (16 June) at 14:38 at a private address in Newton Aycliffe. We dispatched two ambulance crews, one specialist paramedic and one clinical team leader to the incident.
