The state of art CORI Robotic system for use in hip and knee surgery will be unveiled by a team from Woodlands Hospital, at an event on June 25, from 2pm – 4pm, at The Garden Rooms at Tennants, Leyburn.

Highlights of the event include an informative presentation by our specialist surgeons, a live demonstration of the state-of-the-art CORI robotic surgical system, and compelling patient success stories. Engage directly with Mr Craig White and Dr Raghu Sidaginamale during the interactive Q&A session and explore the opportunity to schedule a complimentary consultation.

Implant choice and its correct positioning are crucial to the success of hip and knee replacements. Along with delivering greater precision and accuracy in implant positioning, CORI surgical system allows for use of implants that are free of Nickel, Cobalt and Chromium that can be of benefit for patients with known allergy to these metals.

This hand-held system with smaller footprint fits in very easily within the operating theatre workflow. Further advantage of this technology is that it is image free, no CT scan needed prior to surgery thereby avoiding radiation exposure to our patients.

The event forms part of a wider community open day which is taking place between 10am and 4pm, during which attendees will also have the opportunity to speak to Woodlands Hospital representatives from the physiotherapy and nursing departments, as well as patient liaison teams who will be available all day to give advice. Supporting them will be Dr Paul Mulcrone who runs the hospital’s private GP clinic.
