New signs have gone up at Teesside Park’s upcoming Ninja Warrior adventure park as the final weeks of construction work get underway.

The countdown is on after the obstacle assault course chain finally confirmed it would be opening in the park's former Rainbow Casino on July 14 earlier this week.

The highly-anticipated attraction will play host to a giant inflatable course featuring tunnels, battle towers, and the iconic warped wall made famous from the hit ITV show.

Bosses have promised an “action-packed experience for all ages” with a “mix of adrenalin-fuelled obstacle courses and giant inflatable runs”.

It will also feature a special under fours area for ‘young ninjas’ as well as a café, viewing area and several party rooms.

The venue will be opened by the hosts of the TV show - This Morning presenter Ben Shepherd and Middlesbrough legend Chris Kamara - at a special preview event on July 12.

The project has been months in the making after park bosses revealed they were in talks with the chain last year. The news was finally confirmed back in January.

Last month, CGI images of how the venue will look were released showing the revamped exterior of the unit as well as the huge assault course in bright striking colours.

This week, new pictures taken from the 28,000sq ft site - which is located between Showcase Cinemas and the upcoming Pure Gym - show new Ninja Warrior graphics have already been erected on the pillars beside the entrance doors.

Fans can win the chance to meet Kammy and Ben at the launch event with a social media competition, with ten pairs of tickets up for grabs.

In the meantime, the venue remains cordoned off by construction fences as works continue.

Kammy previously said: “For me, it's especially exciting to be back home and opening a venue so close to my hometown, Middlesbrough.

“I know that the North East will absolutely love what Ninja Warrior UK is bringing and will undoubtedly amaze me with what they can conquer on the courses!”
