Police have seized over £140,000 from two people connected to a pizza shop raided by officers investigating suspected firearms offences.
Proceeds of crime hearings for Saad and Jenna Abouseda, who live next door to Pizza Home in Esh Winning, were heard at County Durham magistrates sitting in Newton Aycliffe.
Durham Constabulary successfully applied to freeze a bank account containing £92,000 from Saad Abouseda, who is a chef at the takeaway, and for an order to detain up to £50,000 from Jenna Abouseda.
Both live on Newhouse Road, next to the takeaway raided by armed police on June 5.
