Five Darlington residents have been fined in court this week for driving offences. 

All five appeared at both Peterlee Magistrates Court and Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court.

Five Darlington residents fined in court this week:

Adrian Mckenzie, 47, of Cotherstone Moor Drive in Darlington, was found guilty of speeding on M1 Motorway J32-J31 Southbound.

His speed was recorded at 86 mph, which exceeded the limit of 70 mph.

He was also found guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, namely a BMW.

For these offences, he was ordered to pay a fine of £660, a victim surcharge of £264 and costs of £90.

His license was endorsed with six points.

James Watson, 45, of Dinsdale Crescent in Darlington, was found guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, namely an Audi.

For this offence, he was ordered to pay a fine of £660, a victim surcharge of £264 and costs of £90.

His license was endorsed with six points.

Mary Farrand, 41, of Anfield Court in Darlington, pleaded guilty to using a motor vehicle without third-party insurance.

For this offence, she was ordered to pay a fine of £120, a victim surcharge of £48 and costs of £90.

Her license was endorsed with six points.

Daniele Alessandro, 39, of Maltby Court in Darlington, was found guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, namely Renault.

For this offence, he was ordered to pay a fine of £660, a victim surcharge of £264 and costs of £90.

He was also disqualified from driving for six months due to repeat offending.

Stephen John Edward Barry, 43, of Southend Avenue in Darlington, was found guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, namely an MG.

For this offence, he was ordered to pay a fine of £660, a victim surcharge of £264 and costs of £90.

His license was endorsed with 6 points.
