Plans have been lodged for alcohol sales and entertainment at a former Yarm gin distillery.
An application has been submitted to Stockton Council for a new premises licence at 5 Danby Wynd, the former home of the Revelry Spirits.
The business - titled ‘Atomic Beers’ - wishes to sell alcohol both on the site and from it between Monday and Sunday from 10am until 9.30pm.
The applicant also wishes to have “regulated entertainment” - including recorded music - and daily opening times 10am until 10pm, if approved by council chiefs.
Revelry Spirits confirmed to The Northern Echo that it is no longer trading from 5 Danby Wynd - which is tucked away off the main High Street - and its premises licence was surrendered.
The firm previously produced both premium gin and vodka from the premises and gained praise online for its “beautifully tasting” spirits.
A spokesperson confirmed this week that there is no link between the new business and the distillery and is “entirely new.”

The retail unit was previously put on the market via Zoopla with a price tag of £13,000 per annum - with the listing noting its “popular retail location” and total floor space of 527.23 sqft.
The premises licence application has also been taped to the window of the venue - located opposite Hodgson Fish of Yarm - as shown in pictures taken this week.
The consultation closure date for the application is June 28.
