Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash which closed a busy road.
North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) have confirmed they received reports of a crash at the junction of the A174 and Eston Road in Middlesbrough.
They confirmed they deployed two ambulance crews and a clinical team leader to the scene.
They added they took two people to hospital for further treatment.
A NEAS spokesperson said: “We received a call at 12.09pm this afternoon to reports of a road traffic incident on the junction of the A174 and Eston Road in Middlesbrough.

"We dispatched two ambulance crews and a clinical team leader to the scene and transported two patients to The James Cook University Hospital for further treatment.”
A Cleveland Fire Brigade spokesperson said: "“Cleveland Fire Brigade were called on 12/06/2024 at 12.17pm to an incident on Eston Road, Lazenby in Middlesbrough.
"Road Traffic Collision involving two vehicles. Three fire engines in attendance from Grangetown and Redcar.
"Casualty was extricated by crews and handed over to NEAS. Crews made the scene safe and had left by 13.03pm”.
Cleveland Police have been contacted for more information.
