Rumours of a Hollywood blockbuster returning to film in the North East have begun after adverts looking to cast extras were spotted online.
Filming for the much-anticipated 28 Years Later, a follow-up to the critically acclaimed 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later, has been taking place at Lindisfarne (the Holy Island), Hexham, and Newcastle - while cast and crew were most recently spotted in Waskerely in County Durham.
Now that the filming in County Durham and the wider North East has stopped - it's reported that additional filming in other parts of the UK has now begun; leading to excitement that people will soon be able to see how the filming locations in the North East look on the silver screen.
But rumours about whether a return to the North East to the film could be on the cards after a casting call for extra appeared online, rumoured to fit the bill of 28 Years Later.
