An appeal has been launched after a County Durham store was broken into and had its till stolen.
Durham Police are appealing for more information after an unknown suspect reportedly forced their way through the front door of Seasons Wholefoods in Chester-le-Street on Friday (June 7) morning.
They said the suspect smashed the front door’s glass panel before making off with the till, leaving a trail of change in their wake.
A spokesperson for the police said: “On the morning of June 7, an unknown suspect has forced entry to the front door of Seasons Wholefoods, Chester le Street.
“The suspect has smashed the lower clear glass panel of the front door by an unknown means and entered the building.

“They have then taken the till and exited the building via the front door and made off, leaving a trail of change away from the scene.
“Officers are keen to speak to anyone that may have witnessed the incident.”
