A busy North East road will be closed overnight for four weeks as resurfacing works begin.

Work on the A174 Parkway westbound in Middlesbrough got underway on June 9.

The road will now be shut for two phases of work, with the first seeing the westbound carriageway between the A172 Stokesley Road and B1380 closed for resurfacing for one week.

A diversion route will be available via the A172 Stokesley Road Interchange, A172, Stainton Way and B1380 Stainton Interchange.

The second round of works will last three weeks and see the carriageway closed between the B1365 Blue Bell to the A19.
