A new poll has revealed that Labour could be set to win a landslide majority at the 2024 general election.
Many of the North East and County Durham seats which swung to the Conservatives in 2019 look set to return to Labour.
The new YouGov MRP (Multi-level Regression and Post-stratification) poll uses relatively new polling techniques that are increasingly being used for more accurate predictions.
The poll shows Darlington flipping to Labour along with Bishop Auckland and Newton Aycliffe and Spennymoor.

The PM himself might be facing a tighter race than anyone would have thought in Richmond and Northallerton.
