As James Arthur fans pack out the Riverside in Middlesbrough tonight some have been shocked at the price of a pint.
The singing sensation is expected to take the stadium by storm in his homecoming gig.
All week tension has been building for the local lad, especially with McFly as his support act.
With organisers saying concertgoers can’t take their own food and drink into the venue, fans turn to stalls in the fan village and in the ground for drink.
A pint will set concertgoers back £6.50.
It’s higher than the average price of a draught pint of lager which was £4.75 last month, according to the ONS.

A pint of Magners dark fruit cider will also drain your wallet of £6.50 while you can expect to fork out £7.00 for a 187ml bottle of wine.
As for soft drinks, it's £4.00 for Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Oasis and £3.00 for water.
The steep price tags don’t appear to put fans off buying a drink, with queues at bars around the stadium.
