Traffic on the A66 has ground to a halt following a serious crash this afternoon (Saturday, June 8), it has been reported.
Currently, traffic on the A66 has been stopped by traffic wardens at the Gilling West turnoff, near Richmond, North Yorkshire, with motorists reporting that tailbacks are growing.
One lane is thought to be closed completely, with delays increasing on the westbound carriageway.
The police have been contacted for a comment, we will bring you this update as soon as we can.
