A popular Darlington lunch spot has confirmed it will be closing its doors and thanked customers.
Falafel Fella, located on Clark’s Yard in Darlington, has confirmed the eatery will be closing after its last day on Sunday (June 9).
Mouheydin Alkalel, founder of Falafel Fella, said he will be taking a break from the shop to reflect on his next move.
He added this decision was reached after much consideration, and that the business would still operate at the market.
Posting on social media, a spokesperson for the business said: “Big news. Falafel Fella at 1 Clark’s Yard is closing its doors. We will be open to serve tomorrow, Saturday, 8 June, and Sunday, 9 June, at our usual hours - 12:00 to 5:00. So come grab one of your favourite dishes.
“As I mentioned in the video, this has been one of the hardest decisions I had to make so far for me. But remember this is see you later not goodbye forever.

Mr Alkalel added it had been a "really tough few months" for the business due to rising costs - with the closure of the shop being his "only option."
