An alleged dangerous driver has been arrested after a police chase through Darlington.
Officers received information about a vehicle on Friday morning at around 10.20am, and began pursuing it. The vehicle then collided with another vehicle on the outskirts of the town.
Durham Police said a 25-year-old man was then tasered and arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, blackmail, and affray. He remains in police custody, the force said.

A full statement explained: "A man has been arrested following a pursuit in Darlington this morning. Following information received, officers began pursuing the vehicle at around 10.20am (June 7).
"The vehicle collided with another vehicle on the outskirts of Darlington. A 25-year-old man was tasered and arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, blackmail and affray. He remains in custody.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision or with CCTV footage is asked to contact Darlington Intelligence Unit on 101 quoting incident number 144 of June 7."
