A child has been left injured after an early morning 'hit-and-run' in Ingleby Barwick.
The incident took place at the Sandgate Junction of the The Rings and Myton Way at around 8am on Monday (June 3) and is believed to have involved a blue Ford vehicle.
The child was on a pedal bike at the time of the crash - with Cleveland Police now trying to find the driver of the car after it failed to stop at the scene.
The victim did not require hospital treatment, according to the force, and only suffered minor injuries. A statement said: "Cleveland Police is appealing for witnesses and any relevant dash cam footage following a collision involving a child on a pedal bike and a vehicle.
"The incident occurred on Monday, June 3, at around 8am at the junction of The Rings and Myton Way in Ingleby Barwick and is believed to have involved a blue Ford vehicle.

"The child suffered minor injuries. The vehicle did not stop at the scene and officers are appealing for this person to come forward to assist them with their enquiries.
"Anyone with any information or dashcam footage of the incident is urged to contact Cleveland Police and quote reference number 104830."
