Pictures showing the latest progress on a pedestrian and cyclist footbridge on the A19 in County Durham have been released as works continue.
Durham County Council have confirmed overnight closures will be in place on A182 overbridge from 8pm on Friday (June 7) to 6am on Monday (June 10).
They also confirmed the A19 will be closed in both directions beneath the A182 overbridge from 8pm on Saturday (June 8) until 6am on Monday.
A Durham County Council spokesperson said: “As work continues to construct a new pedestrian and cyclist footbridge across the A19 gets underway, overnight closures will be required.
“The A182 overbridge will be closed from 8pm on Friday 7 June to 6am on Monday 10 June and the A19 will close in both directions beneath the A182 overbridge from 8pm on Saturday 8 June to 6am on Monday 10 June.”

The development is part of a £13.5 million project to improve the A19/A182 junction, to allow for the expansion of the nearby Jade Business Park near Murton.
The project will also see works to remove the two existing roundabouts on either side of the A182, which will be replaced with traffic light-controlled junctions.
The scheme is scheduled to be completed in 2025.
