The development is part of a £13.5 million project to improve the A19/A182 junction, to allow for the expansion of the nearby Jade Business Park near Murton.

The project will also see works to remove the two existing roundabouts on either side of the A182, which will be replaced with traffic light-controlled junctions.

The scheme is scheduled to be completed in 2025.
