Wardens have been carrying out patrols in this County Durham village to combat dog fouling.
Durham County Council have confirmed dog fouling patrols were conducted this morning (May 6) in the area of Ghyllfield Road in Framwellgate Moor, Durham.
The council have warned an owner’s failure to clean up their dog’s waste will result in a £100 Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN).
A Durham County Council spokesperson said: “Neighbourhood Warden 72 has been on dog fouling patrols this morning in the area of Ghyll field Road, Framwellgate Moor.
“Dog owners - it is YOUR responsibility to clean up after your dog and dispose of correctly. Failing to do so will result in a £100 Fixed Penalty Notice.
“Neighbourhood Wardens have a duty to enforce against dog owners who fail to comply with the Public Space Protection Order.
