An investigation has been launched into fly tipping found on a County Durham road.
Durham County Council (DCC) found the waste dumped on 45 to 49 Leeholme Road in Coundon, Bishop Auckland.
The council said they will pursue enforcement action against any perpetrator of fly tipping.
A DCC spokesperson said: “Neighbourhood warden 111 has located this waste fly tipped behind 45 – 49 Leeholme Rd.
“Evidence has been retrieved from the waste and investigations are ongoing into this. This is one of two fly tipping incidents in very close proximity to each other, which are both under investigation after evidence was retrieved from both by NW 111.

“DCC will seek to pursue and take enforcement action against any perpetrator who has been found to have committed this offence. This sort of behaviour is completely unacceptable and has no place in the local community.
“Not only is it unsightly but it can be a source of harbourage for vermin and pests but it can also be a target for arson.
“If you have any information about this incident or witness any fly tipping, you can report it to the council by 03000 260000 or www.durham.gov.uk/doitonline.”
