A popular travelling fair will be coming to the North East this summer – with plenty of rides and attractions for visitors to enjoy.
The Hoppings will return to Newcastle’s Town Moor for ten days, beginning June 21.
The event will see young people’s artwork, themed around Hoppings, displayed around the fair– with a prize awarded for the best entry.
Entrants below the age of 18 will be tasked with drawing a personal experience relating to The Hoppings, before uploading it to the event’s website.
All artwork created by the competition will be displayed at the event – with the winners receiving a bag of goodies including free ride tickets, as well as vouchers for food and drink.
Ryan Crow of Crow Events – which organises the Hoppings – said he hoped "lots of youngsters would take part".

“We always want to add new elements every year to get the local community more involved with The Hoppings,” he said.
“This is a great way for children of all ages to show what The Hoppings means to them and then be able to come and see their artwork on display.
“We can’t wait to see what they will produce.”
The entries can be uploaded here, with June 14 the deadline for entries.
