A key stretch of the A66 through Middlesbrough will be closed temporarily to allow for essential maintenance.
The main route will shut in both directions between the Marton Road interchange, close to Cineworld, and the Hartington interchange.
The four-hour closure will be in place between 8pm and midnight on Tuesday, June 4.
Diversions will be in place for drivers travelling through Middlesbrough town centre.

A Middlesbrough Council spokesman said: “Closures are inevitable from time to time, with essential maintenance needed to ensure the continued safety of the travelling public.
“The works have been timed for a quieter period to reduce congestion, but motorists are advised to avoid the area if at all possible. Diversions will be in place.
“As ever we are grateful to those affected for their patience and understanding and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
